about

Instrumental cinematic piano beats.

At a time of my life when I was edging further away from complication in music, and closer to an appreciation of simpler themes, I started sketching the first track of Watercolours: Chimes. The motive was to give people something to relax to. It was a stressful time for the whole planet.

That turned into a much bigger project. Watercolours is all ten tracks that were made during 2020 lockdown. I've ended up really loving the flavour of the album and how it sits very comfortably in a union. It was a real learning exercise for me, too. Simple themes hold immense power. And you can do an awful lot with them. Plus, with relaxing music, you simply cannot overcomplicate or your listener won't find the peace they're looking for.

This is the result of that journey. I hope you enjoy it, or even find some inner peace with it perhaps.
